I started playing badminton very late. A few shuttlecocks, a few awkward and urgent movements towards the corners of the field, benevolent but so perverse (!) partners and it was too late... Soaked, out of breath, muscles in pain and... happy smile ! The magic of badminton had worked ; I was hooked.
Since this time, passion never left me and I have only one motivation : play better !
I'm not talking about performance, I'm too old for that, but to be better for more pleasure and satisfaction on courts. All players know that : ” No fault ! ” “ Strike IN the court ! ” “ Over the net ! ” “ Be strong and tricky ! ” “ Move sharp ! ” “ One more ! ”... Everything goes to efficiency... and refers to training.
Professional or amateur, young or old, ambitious or not, there is no escape but practicing and training... And so we are...
Is there any simple, robust, useful and not too expensive gear to help any player and/or coach to maximize efficiency of trainings, especially around unpleasant shuttlechock matters : picking up, acessibility without disturbant movement, help for distribution quality... and more recently contact limitation ?
As I didn't find anything to suit my needs, I decide to design it. Ambitous, isn't it ? Yes it is.
But after 2 years of thinking and testing, whith various players and trainers of different ranks (from beginner to international), I no longer have any doubts.
S.Holder (for Shutllecok Holder) IS the TRUE 3rd (or 5th) man on the court during training !
His mission is simple :
bring help in almost all assisting needs during a training session.
Now, I never go to gymnasium without it, and I deeply think it can help so many people to teach and progress...
S.Holder is born !

Journey is just starting but we, at S.Holder,already manage inovation with industrial based processes.
This activity is driven by 2 major inputs :
- players and trainers needs,
- testers and clients feedbacks.
We imagine and design gears depending of collected information.
Plan - Design - Check - Test loop is repeated as many times as needed until we consider design satisfactory to the goal.
Of course, we do not negotiate with fundamentals :
Simplicity, Reliability, Safety, Practicality and adequate final Prices !
All our products are hand made, one after the other (= very limitated stock)
depending of orders we receive.
- Pros : each part is deeply checked and assembly always controlled to perfectely answer needs.
- Cons : times. Manufacturing is still a long way, but we are already working hard to increase performance !
The web site you are visiting is our main selling solution until we adopt other distribution strategy.
Two main reasons are driving this choice :
- we want to limit investment,
- our knowledge and competancy to develop and secure this web platform.
We have important consideration about security,
and it is the reason why we use (and pay for)
a well recognized third party to securize paiements.
Next development steps and financial investment will be made to be more productive and efficent at Manufacturing step.
But before anything, we need to be sure our product meet his market...
In other words, even if we are totally convinced by our product, and despite time and investment already done, only number of sales mades by badminton players, trainers & clubs will acknowledge we can grow to a more industrialized process.
